2007 Day of Caring
Last year more than 1500 volunteers participated in more than 430 volunteer opportunities at area senior citizens homes. You are invited to be a part this year's Day of Caring Thursday, October 11th, 2007. You and your employees can participate as volunteer teams matched with senior citizens to help with projects such as:
° Raking and bagging leaves
° Putting on storm windows
° Fall cleaning
° Light Home Repair...and more!
The objective for Day of Caring is to engage community businesses and their employees in local and fun volunteer opportunities with area senior citizens who need the help and companionship for a day. The event helps raise community support and encourages team building within your employees. In addition, these activities afford employees a great opportunity to know each other outside the workplace.
