Children's Needs:

Programs that fulfill the developmental needs of children through daily care, education and access to medical care.

  • North Dakota Caring Foundation-Caring for Children
Children's programs work to:

  • 80% of children will show developmental improvement in areas specified by the programs, within one year of enrollment
  • 85% of children will be ready to attend Kindergarten after completing pre-Kindergarten classes
  • After completing classes, 70% of parents will identify new parenting skills and 85% will incorporate those skills into their daily lives

Independent Living:

Programs enable individuals with varying abilities to reach appropriate level of independence. Programs in this category not only aid in housing assistance, but follow through with proven practices of case management and skills training.

  • Lakes and Prairies-Transitional Housing
  • Habitat for Humanity-Family Support Services
  • Fraser Ltd.-Independent Living Services
Independent Living programs work to:

  • 75% of participants make independent life choices
  • 35% of participants secure housing for at least one year
  • 45% of participants secure housing for at least six months
  • 80% of participants become informed tenants within 90 days of enrolling in the program
  • While in the program 50% complete training to increase education and/or income level

Short-term services for members of the community affected by circumstances beyond their control with care ranging from food baskets to emergency care packs. Referrals and case management may also be provided to those with greater needs.

Legal and Caregiver Services

Assists members of the community who need legal representation, guardianship services or those who are caregivers/guardians and are in need of assistance in caring for a loved one.

  • Legal Services of North Dakota-Fargo Office
  • Rape and Abuse Crisis Center-Legal Services
  • LSSMN-Caregiver Support and Respite
What Legal and Caregiver Services are working toward:

  • 100% of clients' health will be maintained through timely completion of dental exams, neurological and psychiatric consults and other related consults
  • 90% of participants will live in situations appropriate for his or her level of functioning
