| Judy Green, President |
Catie Herman, Chief Operating Officer |
The Board of Directors of United Way of Cass-Clay (UWCC) announced today that Judy Green has been named President of United Way of Cass-Clay, and Catie Herman has been named Chief Operating Officer. Green is replacing Scott Crane, who resigned as President of UWCC in December 2007 to assume the role of President of the United Way of the Quad Cities Area, located in Davenport, Iowa.
Green was the Executive Director of the YWCA Cass Clay from 2004 to 2007 and has been involved in the Fargo Moorhead business community since the mid-eighties.
Herman served as the Campaign Director of United Way of Cass-Clay from 2000 – 2005, Vice President and Campaign Director from 2005 – 2007, and has served as the Interim President since Crane announced his resignation.
UWCC Board Chairman Steve Swiontek said that a Search Committee was formed to seek out applicants and conduct interviews for the President’s position, and that a number of very qualified individuals from around the region applied for the job. He noted that Green’s past experience leading a well managed not-for-profit organization, as well as her professional background and her volunteer involvement in our community was a perfect fit for United Way. He also stated that Herman did an excellent job as Interim President and that the Board was grateful for her willingness to assume that responsibility.
